Aren't your shipping costs a little high?
Why don't you use another shipper because they are cheaper for my shipment?
Why so much for an engine?
Why won't you ship my engine by Fedex/UPS?
Why does it take 3-5 weeks to get my engine?
Why don't you combine shipping when you said you would?
| We want boxes that protect your parts. Many second-hand boxes won't protect your part and because the part is one-of-a-kind, we can't replace it. So we buy boxes that will protect your parts. Boxes cost money. | |
| We only use FEDEX or UPS. They pick up our shipments and we all have a tracking number. | |
| Specialty boxes for forks, engines, wheels, and tanks are frequently oversize or overweight, and cost more to ship than regular boxes. | |
| We ship on the day after payment with few exceptions. Because of that we have to have boxes on hand every day. We can't go to a local store on the day we plan to ship just to get their throw-away boxes. |
| They may be cheaper in your area but they aren't cheaper here. | |
| We have to be one size fits all because we can't investigate the best cost for every package. | |
| We have investigated the nationwide carriers, regional freight companies, and anybody else who hauls out of Norfolk, NE. The best deal we can offer you is Forward Air for large engines and FEDEX/UPS for packages. |
| It depends on the size of the engine. | |||||||||
Smaller (<70 pounds) engines can ship FEDEX/UPS

Larger engines (>70 pounds) are shipped via Forward Air
|
| We can't afford to refund your purchase price and shipping! | |
| We won't ship engines that weigh more than 70 pound (total weight with shipping material) by Fedex/UPS | |
| The tumbling action of Fedex/UPS can potentially damage the engine no matter how well we box. | |
| Forward Air does not tumble freight. Everything is moved by fork truck/pallet jack. | |
| We cannot get custom boxing material for the variety of engines we deal with. Banding them to a pallet gives better safety. |
| This only applies to larger engines that are shipped via Forward Air | |
| We have to transport them 120 miles (one-way) to Omaha, our nearest Forward Air terminal | |
| We want to ship at least 3 engines at the same time to cut down on costs | |
| We never wait more than 5 weeks. |
| We will NOT combine shipping for engines/motors, fuel/gas tanks, wheels, or forks because they all require special boxing. | |
| Also, we don't want other parts rubbing against your tank, or your engine crushing your headlight. |
